When You load setup defaults the network boot will be re-enabled. I always disable it for both security reasons and to just get it off the list.
Now for the problem You have now This is a 2009 Model Laptop so have You run Memtest on the memory ?? Stress tested the CPU ?? Have you also tested the HDD ??
About a Year ago I was playing around running Win 10 Pro on a ancient eMachines desktop. Celeron D 356 single core. 512 MB of 400 RAM and the original PATA HDD. I was amazed I could boot it. I later upped the RAM to 2x 1GB. For some reason I never found, it'd fail half way though boot and I'd hit the power reset and it'd finish booting. I needed the PSU for another PC and my experiment was over.
Anyway, There "Should" be Something showing in the Event logs ?? If You could run the DM Log Collector and upload the results here following this tut: BSOD - Posting Instructions - Windows 10 Forums it might (?) be helpful.
