An issue I have come across with my clients is their computers' BIOS does not support USB 3.0 natively for booting to other devices, has to be done with the loading of Windows. USB 2.0 support is built into the BIOS. Some of the combo USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports may work, the ones on my year-old Desktop do but I've seen others that didn't.
