    Since I did this and it worked perfectly I'd say it's a valid way to go if you don't want to wait.

    Download and create a ISO then create a flash drive. Run setup.exe from the flash drive and you will do an upgrade, exactly as if you were doing it through Windows Update or the Get Windows 10 icon.

    I used the upgrade option in the Media Creator Tool to install W10 over W7 with no problem. Once installed W10 activated immediately and it runs just fine.

    What was the failure error?

    See if you have a C:\Windows\Panther folder and if there is a install or fail or similar file in it. If so, see what it contains.

    I've done what you guys suggested, used media creation tool and upgraded! all went fine and it upgraded finally! thanks guys.
