@AddRAM
You might want to look at this, $5 cheaper but also has 256MB cache which is better than 64MB:

Good catch, I must have used an older link I had. They are actually the ones I have, above link fixed.

$208.94 vs $213.64 but I get them much faster from Newegg because there is a warehouse in NJ, so the extra $5.00 is worth it to me. :)

Here's something for you. Plug in a USB stick, download the attachment, unzip, open Admin command prompt then run makeUSB.bat
NOTE: Command prompt must be run under the folder that you save makeUSB.bat
Save you some typing.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you select the correct USB disk #.
MakeUSB.rar
Here's the screen shot:

I just noticed with the updated Newegg link I just posted, the drives are sold by goharddrive right now and not Newegg, I don't like how Newegg does that. (But they are just helping meet demand so that`s good)
So Amazon would be the way to go, who knows where goharddrive is
When Newegg gets them back in stock they will raise the price.
Hi Navy. Ive been trying to do the above this weekend without success. I followed the process exactly except I didn't use the Assign command and instead of quick format I performed a full format by removing "quick". Ive had two attempts with two different flash drives and each time I got the following error straight after the "Active" command was typed. "Diskpart has encountered an error. The system cannot find the file specified. See the system event log for more information". At the time of the error there are no errors shown in the system event log. All the other commands were successful.
I ran an SFC scan on my laptop to see if anything was wrong and checked for malware. Everything is fine. Can anybody tell me what Im doing wrong?
As regards the Active command..what should I do? I'm concerned now that because of this error my flash drive might be corrupted so I'm going to have to do all the commands again to be sure that everything has been done correctly.
I was wondering if I could do this instead
diskpart
list disk
select disk #
clean
convert mbr
Then..finish the rest of the process using Disk Management.
I'm thinking that I might not need the Active command because my system is UEFI boot but that doesn't answer why I'm having this error message.
