Is there more than one hard drive in this computer? If yes, disconnect all except the one you are installing to.

When you did the install, did you delete all partitions on the hard drive until you had only unallocated space, then clicked Next to let the Windows installer create the partitions it needed?

How much RAM do you have, how is it divided up (how many DIMMs, how much for each DIMM)?

What is the full model number of your HP Touchsmart? I'd like to look at the manual for it.

You have a HP 15-G100 Touchsmart.

You say the builtin keyboard doesn't work well, right. Does it work at all? There should be a Disable/Enable WiFi button (Fn+a key) and/or a Airplane mode button. If the keyboard works well enough to use them that would ensure not WiFi connection.

Also try this while it's looping:

    • Disable network devices, turn off Wi-Fi and unplug network cable if there is any.
    • Remove any USB devices plugged in, including keyboard, mouse, printer, USB drive (your flash drive) , AC adapter etc.

See if any of that shakes it out of the loop.

I'm going to bed, talk to you tomorrow.

The keyboard doesn't work at all, completely dull. Wouldn't it effect my installation if I remove my w10 installation usb drive while it's installation. I haven't done anything yet due to that concern. Also, I'm 17 and my foster mom say I can't unplug the moter, sry. I did before though, earlier this week, and it still failed.

Removing the mouse, keyboard and flash drive is worth trying. It can't be any worse than it is now. If doing so wakes it up and it needs the flash drive it will ask you for it. All we're trying to do is get it to continue the install process. As soon as it does that, plug the mouse and key board back in, but wait on the flash drive. Isuspect the install is done with it at this point anyway.

Maybe the best thing to do is replace the defective keyboard. You can get a new one for $15 or so and they are pretty easy to replace.

What is the full/complete model number: HP Envy TouchSmart 15-?????

What about the Touchpad? Does it work? If so, use it instead of the mouse, at least during the install.
