    Well, i have an off topic question for you guys (not sure if its worth a new thread).

    Is it possible to add/create a new Windows service by using REG ADD only and typing all the required registry keys/entries?
    I normally use the command SC CREATE for this but possibly it can also be done in another way?

    This is the script i used:

    It certainly is possible.

    I add Wifi to my PE image like this and it works.

    Not sure it is the most efficient way but certainly you can.

    Nice. Fortunately the service i'm trying to add isn't that advanced in the amount of files/modifications it needs, but it still won't let add itself.

    Even after monitoring/comparing the registry changes with Regshot/RegistryChangesView and Process Monitor, its no joy for me.
    SC CREATE must be casting some magic spells or something.

I have a laptop updated from 1703 to 1709 on Oct 17th. When done it was build 16299.15. Then Windows Update gave me KB4043961 which brought the build to 16299.19. Today, Oct 19th, I needed to update my Surface Pro1 which was running 1703 version....
No audio after 16299.15
in Windows Insider

so, I just installed 16299.15 and now I have no audio just a red cross on the speaker icon. Im connected with hdmi to receiver and it does not look like a handshake issue. Also no sound from audio jack, any advice?
