Does windows 10 give you an option to delete person files from old OS?

    Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum :-) by the way so sorry if do anything wrong
I want to start afresh with Windows 10 and have a clean installation of it without my old cluttered files. Does the installation give you an option to delete your old person files?

    Much appreciated,

If you are "Starting afresh" and clean installing Windows 10 then maybe you would format your C drive to ensure that the Win 10 installation is corruption free, in which case yes your files on that drive will get deleted. Maybe a little more info on where your current version of Windows is (assuming its C) and where you want to put Windows 10 would be helpful.

Welcome to TenForums. Sounds like you are wanting to do a clean install. Try this tutorial. Be sure to back up any data that you do not want to be deleted. Good luck to you Windows 10 - Clean Install

Since Win10 is preview code, it is advisable to dual boot. That's pretty much a clean install any way you do it, except you don't overwrite your existing system install. It's safer and just easier if you follow this tutorial:

Read though it and ask any questions first - pay attention to the color boxes and read the blue links too.

When Win10 goes live is when you should replace / upgrade your existing OS, not when it's still in development.
