    Fresh 10 install new computer

So i just bought a completely new computer and purchased Win 10. I downloaded the ISO and installed it to a USB to install. I received an email with a product key, but each time i try and use it, it tells me it's an invalid key for the available ISO.

I'm not the most tech savvy person, but I've built complete systems before for friends and never had this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Exactly which ISO file did you download and where did you download it from?

I made damn sure i was DLing it from the Microsoft website as i was paying 120 for it, but i currently don't have the link since I'm afk. That being said, i read other advice to deny i had a code, and it actually started to install before i left. I assume the idea is later I'll have to provide a valid code.

I have that code. Strange i would have to say no first............

The problem is if the ISO file is not for the same version that your code is for, then it won't work and I suspect that is why your code did not work at the beginning. For example, if you purchase a Windows 10 Home product key, then you need to download just the plain Windows 10 ISO file. You do NOT download Windows 10 Home Single Language, because just the regular Windows 10 Home product key will not work with it because the Single Language Windows 10 is a different version than just plain, regular Windows 10.

You can see what version of Windows 10 your product key is for by select the check product key option of showkey plus from this forum:

You will have to download it again. It is 99% chance that you want just the plain Windows 10 ISO. (not Single Language, not "K" and not "N", just the first choice, plain Windows 10). I prefer option 1:

The just plain Windows 10 ISO file actually contains both Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro. You will have to do another clean install starting over from scratch. When you start the install with this ISO file, you will enter your product key when asked as the first step and that will determine which version Home or Pro is installed.

I also suspect you used the Media Creation Tool to download the ISO file with (and maybe make the USB flash drive with?) and you got mislead when you saw Windows 10 Home Single Language. If using the Media Creation Tool, these are the choices you want (just plain Windows 10):

If you are using the direct link (option 1) to download the ISO file from Microsoft, you want this choice:
