Windows 10: Can't create Windows 10 Installation Media. Any ideas?

Option 2 here, http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials...e-windows.html was the original guide I followed. If you selected the wrong drive you could get your self in trouble so you do have to be careful. It's usually pretty obvious which one is the thumb drive when you look at the size in the list disk output.
I was wondering whether I could create a small partition on one of my HDDs and use the installation media creation tool to put the installation files on that and then set the BIOS to boot from that partition and start the process of installing...
Got a new DELL that comes with windows 7 Pro. and I upgraded to windows 10 Pro with no issues. Later I found out that I "should " have Upgraded using the "Windows 10 Media Creation Tool" instead of "Get Upgrade"
