    Can I install windows 10 on local disk D?


    And can i install windows 7 sp1 on local disk D too?

    What you're calling "disk" "D" is actually a chunk of formatted space on your drive, known as a partition.

    So, if the question is, can you install Win10 and Win7 in the same partition, the answer is no.

    If you upgraded from 7 you can't run it as well as it was used for the so won't activate unless you have another copy you can run win7 as a virtual machine with the free virtual box

    Um... I was talking about if I can install Windows 7 sp1, then install windows 10 afterwards,

Will my files on Local Disk (D:) get deleted if i reinstall Windows 10
Hi, Is it safe to use Local Disk (D:) as my backup storage? i don't have an extra HDD so i want to transfer my files from (C:) to (D:) instead but i'm worried Windows might delete them if i do the reinstallation.

Format Ext. HDD that appear as LOCAL DISK and SLOWS DOWN my windows.
I have a TOSHIBA 1TB External Hard Drive... One night I was using it perfectly. The day after when I woke up, I plugged in the ext. HDD and showed up as a Local Disk. When I try to open it, a message kept showing up that says I have to format it....

Windows 10 changed my username on Local Disk
I'm not sure how to phrase it, but on previous editions of Windows. My username would be my actual name. When I went to the User folder on my local disc, the user folder said EchoX which is my Microsoft email. How can I change it back to Joshua
