    @AddRAM
    I don't believe the SSD in those tablets are the traditional ones. They are some kind of flash memory.

    Anyway, I empted out 6G space on C, and passed the update verification. But still failed at the end with error code 0x80070070 - 0x2000c in the last step (APPLY_IMAGE). It didn't even ask me to use an external disk...

    Update will only install OS in your Drive C. Windows does not support Booting from external Drives.

    1) While doing update disconnect from Internet
    2) Do not let Update Search On-line for Updates, at this point, after Install is successful do the Update On-line
    3) Perform CHKDSK C: /F /X /PERF /SCAN /SDCLEANUP
    4) Perform a "Clean Boot" and try again. see : Clean Boot - Perform in Windows 10 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts - Windows 10 Forums
    5) Run the Update from ISO , should be Stored at External Drive. To run it, either open file explorer , right click on ISO and Mount, or just double Click on ISO File , explorer will open it as if was any Zip File

    Could you illustrate more on how to make the downloaded update files as an ISO medium file? This may give me another 3G of space on C partition. Thanks.

    In your small Storage you can not do a "direct update", you must download a Install Media (ISO) and save it to a SD_Card or external HDD, to make free place on your Drive C.
    Here is a tutorial how to download an ISO: Windows 10 ISO Download - Windows 10 Forums
    Probably for you is the option using the Media Cration Tool for your PC, but SAVE it , instead of Install Now.

    Thanks, Adalwar! I was using Media Creation Tool all the time, but didn't realize I should try the "Create installation media for another PC" option (I used "Upgrade this PC now"). I hope once I save the ISO file somewhere on the PC and mount it with a virtual image reader, it should be working then. I will try this approach once I got a chance soon. :)
