    Have you moved the case around much/ It sounds like a ram problem, possibly. Maybe you dislodged a ram module.

    I should have searched this first:

    What does BIOS beep sound mean?
    1.AWARD BIOS 1short beep ：System normal 2 short beep ：CMOS Error 1 long beep and 1 short beep：Memory error 1 long beep and 2 short beep：Graphic card error 1 long beep and 3 short beep ：AGP error 1 long beep and 9 short beep ：Memory Error Continuous long beep ：Memory not correctly installed Continuous short beep ：Power supply unit failed 2.AMI BIOS 1 short beep ：Memory Error 2 short beep：Memory parity check error. 3 short beep ：basic memory 64K address check error 4 short beep ：Real Time Clock malfunction . 5 short beep ：CPU error 6 short beep：Keyboard error 7 short beep ：CPU interruption error 8 short beep：Graphic card error 9 short beep ：Memory error 10 short beep ：CMOS error 11 short beep ：CPU cache memory malfunction

    Might one of the bolded entries above lead to the symptoms? I was in the BIOS last night a couple of times but I thought I was careful to "exit without changes" I spent a lot of time there in March 2014 upgrading to Win 7.

    In post 113 above where you were showing me what you found, did you make any of those changes in BIOS? When you installed the SSD, did you set your bios Sata Controller to AHCI Mode?

    At this point we can try. If you have a hardware problem, we probably won't be able to complete it in time. If it is not hardware, we may have a chance.

    I see I missed a few of your posts last night. My apologies for not replying!

    I just managed to boot in safe mode, so hardware is not an issue.

    I no longer have the ISO file I downloaded. It was destroyed when I tried to do a Macrium backup to the HDD that held it.

    I shut down from Safe Mode, and sure enough the system boots just like it always did.

    What are my options now?

    Download the ISO again from the MCT. Have it install to the USB drive

    Windows 10

    Also, please keep up with us. We can't make it in time if we have to wait 30 minutes for you to respond to a post. I hope you understand.
