    Yup,, as long as you can get to diskmgmt.msc you can create and delete a partition. All you have to do is create a partition on the drive you have Win7 for about 40-50GB and then take the DVD that has Win10 and perform a custom install where you select the new partition. I name the new partition Win10 so I can pick it out fast.

    Where would I find the unallocated region? Is it the system reserved partition?

    You create one in disk management... here is what I have set up on my PC: Drive 1 is my SSD that has the OS's and programs... It started out with Win8.1 and then I created a partition with disk management.. then I formatted and named it. then I followed the instruction for a clean install.. in my case I used a DVD.     No.. on drive 0 you need to create a new partition with disk management. Don't use the System Reserved .. if you do you will not be able to boot into Win7.

    Follow the instruction in post #13 and #14.. and you can Google .. how to create a portion in Win7.

I took the plunge.. Win10 Preview as a primary..
I tried it out in VM and it worked so I just loaded it as my primary! Here's a screen shot of it so far: 5557 The limited testing has gone fine. 1. ClassicShell works fine but I turned it off. 2. I love the new Start .. More to follow..
