USB Download Tool won't create bootable USB using 9926 .ISO

I just wondered if anyone had had any issues creating a bootable USB using the Download Tool with the 9926 .iso? I've tried multiple times now but it just gets stuck at 94% and I end up having to close the program down via Task Manager. Someone I know has a spare laptop they'd like to clean install the 10 TP on but I just can't create the bootable USB, I haven't tried any earlier builds as I'd like to go straight for the most up to date one and I can't figure this out for the life of me.

Try copying the files over to the usb manually.

It just crept up to 95% after about fifteen minutes. I'll leave it for a while to see if it completes and then go the manual route, it was just bugging me as to why this build is causing issues when creating a bootable USB.

I gave up waiting, extracted the .iso and moved the files manually and it looks like it's worked.

I've been meaning to take a look at Rufus, thanks for the reminder Shawn.

Tested this now, on Windows 10 Build 9926 running the Windows 7 Download Tool and creating a bootable USB from 9926 ISO, timing it as well:

Worked just fine, USB created in a bit under 5 minutes:

It's a strange one Kari, I've tried different USB sticks (all Kingston Data Traveler 3.0) in different USB ports and once it hits 94% it just gives up. The USB stick is no longer visible in Explorer and the Safely Remove Hardware doesn't work until I end the program via Task Manager.

I have used both. I found Rufus worked very well and faster.

Might be that the ISO image is damaged?
