Installing Windows 10 using SD card
Hi all, apologies if this has been asked many times before - I couldn't find anything conclusive, which leads me to believe that it's a non-starter, which I find hard to believe!
I have a 32gb tablet running 64 bit windows 8.1, Intel celeron 1.6ghz, 2gb mem ram - it has a single micro USB connector which, like a smartphone, is for both charging the tablet and data transfer/usb peripheral attachment etc.. I'd like to upgrade to windows 10, problem is there isn't enough space on the internal drive. If I attach an external drive, that does the job, but the tablet runs out of juice long before installation is complete. I can't charge the tablet at the same time as attach the external drive because the single port is one and the same. It does have a 64gb SDXC card however, but at the initial win 10 download stage I get the message that there isn't enough space on the internal drive, and unlike when I had the external drive attached via USB, it doesn't offer the option to install via the SD card. Can anyone advise me how to get around this? How can I upgrade to windows 10 without using the USB port as I will need to occupy that for power. Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
