Forum is very active and helpfull...
If in more doubts, I will be back here sure.....
Again a question,
Can I perform the free upgrade using a bootable disk without reserving upgrade with Get Windows 10 app ??
I haven't got the app yet.I installed the updates KB2952664 and KB3035583 .
You do not need to wait for the upgrade or reserve it.
You can create a usb installation usb drive or dvd using following link
Windows 10
1. Backup all data, make sure you know your current windows key, and recommend an image backup as well.
Run showkeyplus to get key if you do not know it. If you had preinstalled windows 7, you need the COA key usually on blue sticker on base of pc.
2. To upgrade, keeping programs, insert usb stick in whilst running windows and click setup.exe.
3. To clean install, boot from usb stick, select custom install and activate using old key.
I have still doubts on the 64bit install after the free upgrade...
I need a step by step guide (pdf or a link to the guide) for reinstalling win10 by formatting local disk C only.Or just say how to do it... Please... :-/
This is the method I would use, saving the genuineticket.xml file from your current Windows 7:
Clean Install Windows 10 Directly without having to Upgrade First - Windows 10 Forums
When you are doing this procedure:
Windows 10 - Clean Install - Windows 10 Forums
DO NOT delete any partitions - instead select the old Windows 7 partition where you want the new Windows 10 to be.
I currently have a 32bit win7. Can I directly clean install win10 64bit using the genuine ticket method, without having an upgrade to 32bit win10 and then clean installing 64bit??
