Anyone testing w10 direct upgrade method from 7 Home...?

Anyone testing w10 direct upgrade method from 7 Home premium?

Here is what I mean, you have everything you wanted installed on windows 7. Then you chose to upgrade instead of doing a clean install. If so, your complaints and praises please.

Don't know about Windows 7 but I had Windows 8.1 and it showed up in Windows Update like a Service Pack. Upgrade took a while but was seamless. Also I was able to downgrade back to Windows 8.1 quickly and easily. Right now I'm back on Windows 10 but THIS time I made sure I have a copy of my Wifi Drivers handy.

I did once with build 9841 on a cloned Win 7 Home Premium. Everything went smooth. It was a 2.7GB update file. Here's a screenshot:

All your installed programs and files will be untouched and intact. You will just need to re-arrange your icons after the update. Here's a screenshot after installation (notice all desktop shortcuts remained intact):

Then I also tried reverting from Win 10 back to Win 7. It was also flawless.

Yep, I made the ISO, stuck it into my laptop (spare pc) which was up and running at that time. Win10 just took off after it woke up and realized it was in the drive and proceded with the upgrade to 10. It went without a hitch but it took a very long time. I actually went to the PO, mailed a package and filled my gas tank. When I got back here at least an hour later, it was finishing.

It rebooted once again and all was fine except me. First thought was "oh kinda cool" but that is slowly downgrading as we go on to things. But, as far as operation, I haven't had any crashes or major probs. It just keeps telling me I'm not connected to the web as I go merrily from website to website with both IE and Firefox open. I use Lastpass and that doesn't work in 10, so evertime I log into a site I have to click back on Firefox to go into lastpass to see what the heck my password is for each site.

    Go for it!
