Windows 10: Upgrade Question
No, they can't. Build 10586 is not showing up in Windows Update either.
Not sure that's true. I've seen several posts here that said that scenario still worked. I have no way to check it as all mu computers ar aT 10536.11.
Hmm, I could setup a new VM and see what happens. Would be good to know for sure,
Since Friday when build 10586 was removed from normal download channels? All the posts I have read have been "When will I get it?" including my own several month old install of 10240 professional - no upgrade to 10586 offered on my Windows Update.
I'm in the process of creating a new Win 10 Pro X64 VM. Once done will see what Windows Update offers. I'm afraid your right but hoping otherwise.
From here: http://www.winbeta.org/news/microsof...ovember-update
Microsoft has since told WinBeta that the Windows 10 November Update has not been pulled from Windows Update, instead the update will roll out over time, much like the original Windows 10 launch back in July.
Word Man just posted this at Not Able To Get Latest Update (TH2)
He said .......................
And that was this link: http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...eationTool.exe ? I got the TH2 ISO from that this morning.
I downloaded the exe and it does say : File version 10.0.10586.0
Looks like you can also get the update here:
Microsoft Update Catalog
or is that just the update from 10586.3 to 10586.11?
That's from 10586.0 to 10586.11
Don't sweat! I read in Microsoft's site that it may not be available in Windows Update yet, but it will, soon.
Sure enough. I tried to apply it to 10240 and it said not applicable.
I am wondering if some of you might be able to help me. I am going to be upgrading my current system (specs in bio) to the following hardware:
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 mATX
CPU: AMD FX-4300 FOUR-CORE 3.8GHZ 8MB 95W
I'm running Windows 7 and am trying to upgrade to win10. I have reserved my copy and have chosen to install with the 'delete everything' option (something like that) in the setup. I'm afraid I won't have it permanently, as the word 'upgrade' is...
Does anyone know yet if there will be a way to request a physical copy of Windows 10 if you are using the free upgrade? I would love to have a physical copy as a backup and would prefer an official copy of such to just putting it on a USB drive or...
This question may be way early... but I'll ask anyway. :)
Is it known whether the upgrade path from Windows 7 or 8 to 10 will include the option of a clean install? I have, in the past, always done clean installs rather than OS upgrades and much...
Right now I have a AMD A4-4000 APU installed on my PC and it's not that bad. But I was thinking of upgrading it to an AMD A8-6500 Quad Core(3.5Htz).. or possibly a A6-6420K.
Any thoughts if this would be worth the money to upgrade or would it not...
