Well, at the moment I'm on an iPad. :sorry:

But I will be putting together the computer I have listed in My System either on Thursday or Friday, probably Thursday.
If you haven't bought the hard drive yet, consider this one (dual 120GB SSD+ 1TB HDD):

Thank you, but I already ordered it and my budget wouldn't have allowed that anyway.

I am sure, the difference in price will be worth it as it is 2 drives in one plus the benefit of SSD speed. :)

That's why I went with the hybrid, 'cause I'm thinking it will run a little faster than a standard HDD.

I really would like to get an SSD sometime, but that will probably be next summer.

Since Win 9 preview should be out by end of next Month I am just going to remove Win 7 and replace it with Win 9 with a dual boot. I am assuming the procedure will be the same as I did with Win 8. Open the Sources folder in Win 9 and use that Setup. I followed this Tutorial when I setup my current dual-boot. I am curious what the new Windows Boot Manager will look like.

I don't have nothing against VMs, but I like to test alphas and betas in "bare metal". I have an SSD for main OS, a 750GB HDD for other OSes and a 2TB HDD for general storage.

I too will be dual booting as I've always have. I've got a partition ready to go that 8RP was on, then had 8 Enterprise Preview until it expired.

"Bare metal" is best I think too. Besides, I don't think a VM will run on this old Acer with 2GBs, which is maxed out. This Acer is 7 years old and it's been a surprisingly good machine. I think I'm stretching my luck with it. Hopefully building one this winter. :)

I have an older 128 Gb Kinsgton HyperX SSD waiting and ready to install the Windows 9 Preview on. With the luxury of having 3 SSDs I can have Windows 7, 8 & 9 installed on separate disks and use the 1 time boot menu in system bios to load whichever OS I want to run.

I installed multiple hot-swappable hard drive trays on my PC for this purpose. :)
I stopped using virtual machines. It's doesn't give you the actual performance of an OS with respect to hardware.
