    Which ISO did you download?

The Microsoft Techbench ISO works flawlessly.

I have a qualifying OS (8.1) fully updated. Because of my internet connection limitations which I won't go into here, I downloaded the ISO in the early morning hours. It took 6 1/4 hours to download. If I use the Windows Media Upgrade tool it wants to download it all over again which I just cannot afford in time or download. So, is there a way to free upgrade from the downloaded ISO? It does not appear to offer that option.
Where did you DL the ISO? From M$?

Thank you for the suggestion but that does not work for me either. I'm still being asked for a product key with no option to skip.
take a picture of the screen asking for the key with your camera or phone and post it here.

There should be text in the lower left of the screen that says
    Skip this
    - or -
    Do this later

But you really should not be getting that screen.

Maybe you're not doing an upgrade ?!?!

Run setup.exe from the mounted image to start the upgrade.

So you must be running Windows
you can mount the ISO and it will appear in This PC
or if you have already put it to media (disc or flash drive) - insert the media
Navigate to the drive (mounted or inserted)
    launch setup on the drive

What version of Windows 10 did you download?

Enter winver from a command prompt or the Run box under Windows 8.1 to verify what you have.
You must download the same version of Windows 10.
I'm running 8.1 Pro M but I'm not sure which version of 10 I downloaded. How can I check it?

ALL of W10 you can skip the key unless you have a bad copy you may need to re-download it again.

I selected mount and run setup.exe from This PC and still get asked for the key with no skip option showing. Both the back and next keys are greyed out. The only icon in the window other than box for the key is a keyboard icon.
