Are you sure the Win10 driver actually loaded? According to the AMD site the only driver for your HD3200 is same as the one for my HD4250. Can you check the driver info under device manager and post that?

... I don't know if they are related but is there a 32 bit windows 10 update? Would this work or should I just wait it out?
If you have 64 bit win 7 installed, then you can only 'upgrade' (keeping existing data & apps) with the 64 bit version. (& same for 32 bit); if you do a clean install then you can load either 32 or 64, but the likelihood is, if indeed display driver related, it may still not work.

AMD HD3200 is up to date. No other driver updates for my notebook. Still no success in installing Win 10. Last time tried it stopped at 71% and would not tebot following loading of alleged copied files, drivers etc at configure stage of process. So the question is, what next. Clear all temporary files via disk clean and start process again? Tried this and failed. Has anyone got any ideas?

Yes, it's "up to date" but with the latest revision driver available - which is NOT win 10.
If you post the actual driver info we can confirm for you.
I expect it will be 8.970.100.1100 from 4/29/2013

    Pitbull and DEcosse,

Please update the Systems Specs in your forum profile with complete information.

    • In the System Manufacturer/Model Number field, manually type Desktop or Laptop adding it to the information already in the field. The specific model number is important - there are often many models of a given series.
For example, my machine is a HP Pavilion dv6, but there are tens of the dv6 series, so dv6-6c10us is the specific model.

    • Specify Custom Build as the manufacturer if it is not an OEM machine.

The easiest way to do this is to use the information from a PUBLISHED Speccy report.
See: Speccy - Publish Snapshot of your System Specs

Post the link to the report that Speccy gives you. This allows members to see details about the devices (make, model, driver vers) and see what pgms are installed (conflicts?).
There's a lot of information in the Speccy that helps troubleshoot an issue.
    Thanks.

Open the Speccy link, then click here to view your System Specs on this forum.

When you have both windows open, put them side-by-side and simply copy the information, field by field, from the Speccy report to your System Specs.

To see what information other members provide in their System Specs, click on My System Specs in the lower left of any post by any member.

    Thanks

Then it's certainly not win 10 compatible from 2009!

And it's not even the latest, which would be the one I referred above

    Legacy

It appears that AMD is not going to make any further releases to this generation:

No additional driver releases are planned for these products. It is important that PC gamers migrate to a modern AMD Radeon™ graphics card.
The second sentence is all well & good if you have a desktop, but you're kinda screwed if you have a notebook/laptop.

You can try updating to that one I linked and see if makes any difference, but suspect it won't

Slartybart - thank you for that reference - will do!
    (and done!)

I'm having a similar issue and it is probably a drive compatibility issue showered I can't even get windows 10 to finish booting to find out or fix it.

    Asus ROG laptop
    Model#:gl551j
    Originally windows 8.1
    Intel i7
    GeForce God 860m
Nothing super special in software, couple of standard games (wow, elder scrolls), vmware, a lot of movies, music, pictures, research/school stuff, all drivers/software, where kept up to date, etc

Problem: windows 10 appeared to load correctly but I noticed the video card wasn't being used for anything. When I looking at the cards control program it said it had a driver available for install so I did. It attempted to install and it kept rebooting my computer until the 3rd time when it said windows experienced an error and was building a report to send to Microsoft. When it finished, it rebooted again except this time it started booting but went to a black screen with my mouse error flashing back and forth with the blue spinning circle. Rebooting, hard shutdowns, giving it 6 hours, does nothing.

    Help.
