Screen Driver Fail, now using "Windows Standard"

Screen Driver Fail, now using "Windows Standard"-skaermbild-4-.png

So, Before I describe the problem, let me translate this image.
"Couldn't start the screen driver routine. Microsofts basic screen driver routine is now being used instead. See if there is a newer screen driver routine on Windows Update."

This message appeared while playing the game PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS. The screen just, out of nowhere with no specific trigger started resizing and at random intervals blacking out. After this the game, Steam and Discord crashed/closed down and the message appeared. The main problem that has sustained prior to this is the fact that I cannot play the game without it crashing upon starting a game.

I have tried updating the screen card drivers. When the problem first appeared, yellow triangles were present below the drivers for Intel(R) HD Graphics and GeForce 360, suggesting there was some problem. I deactivated and activated the drivers, the yellow triangles now gone, however the problem sustained. The message is also still in the messages tab (opened from the bottom left taskbar) which makes me believe it hasn't been resolved yet.

If you have any idea how to fix this, please tell me how. Thanks.

I'm adding a comment not because I've a solution (sorry) but have just recently started seeing something similar, so am interested.
    - same message in the Action Centre
    - no yellow triangles in device manager
    - have updated drivers for both Intel HD graphics and Nvidia cards via Device Manager
    - still get the message on logon as far as I've seen, with no adverse practical consequences.

This suddenly started about a week ago- but can't definitely say it's related to any particular update.
I've not yet researched it properly, except to find various general posts like this:

Have you install latest device drivers from device manufacturer website?
When installing latest device driver you should uninstall currently installed device driver.
