Hi,
I upgrade win10 pro 64bits to 1709, but my ASUS built-in display card is only ATI3200.
I found the display resolution can set max to 1280x1080 while my monitor should best use 1366x768.
The display driver show MBDD "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" (version 10.0.16299.15) with that resolution or lower, and it cannot be uninstall.
I search / google in many places but still unable to find a solution, any hint ?

Hello Matthew and welcome to the forums. The issue you have seems to be fairly common, especially with older ATI cards. Try downloading an older driver for your card from AMD and installing it. That should solve your problem. The problem is that you do not have a proper driver for your card installed. Try installing one and see if that helps. Most have reported they had to revert back to a 2 year old driver, but personally I would try a newer one first. If that does not work, uninstall that driver, run Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode, then use an older driver.

1. I tried but dont find an old driver which is able to install under win10
2. even win10 itself install display driver with ati3200 correctly, it still allow only mbdd max 1280x1080 resolution.
Any hint?
I have a machine with ati 4200 and I have to install the driver using compatibility mode for Windows 8 and it works fine in Windows 10.
May I know where to download the driver?
I tried from amd site driver not able to install in win10, in compatibility mode or not...
I install this (win8 compatible) - I think failed after installed
amd_catalyst_13.4_legacy_beta_vista_win7_win8.exe / 13-1-legacy_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc.exe
but no help for 1280x1080 resolution.

Finally I done with update the driver using (unsure how old) the drivers from montherboard (ASUS M3A-78EM) for win7 64bits !
