If games are not opening due to low graphics memory then you make changes e.g. like reducing the quality of say, textures, which are loaded in to that VRAM.

Various other settings will change the use of VRAM as well.

It's up to you to experiment.

yes true but that's not the point, the point is that the same game runs fine on Windows 7 with no Graphical issues or errors

    Hi,
Can you see what resource monitor shows your memory as
It might show a "hardware reserved" with the memory difference ?
    Strange for sure though :/

    Hi,
Sorry didn't realize you got rid of 10
Why aren't you using system images for 7 and 10 ?

It's not an 'error' or 'graphical issue', that is not the case. Windows 10 comes with DirectX 12 and so on, thus not exactly the same use of memory be it RAM or VRAM.
That CPU stems from the Windows 8.1 era not Windows 7.

    Hi,
Yep I've been there more than once dual booting on the same drive is unforgiving with 7 and 10
I've done way to many clean installs until I started using one of these which is not applicable for a laptop but they do have devices for laptop dvd/ cd burners too
One ssd or 2.5 hdd = one os at a time :)

i don't think i can afford that at the moment and don't really think i'll be using dual that much anymore, i'll just settle one 1 operating system once i figure out whether or not this issue can be solved
