Please Help! No option for 1920x1080 resolution on my laptop

Please help! I have my Acer E5-575G laptop, corei5, dual graphics 2gb 940mx graphics and intel 540 graphics. The native resolution i 1920x1080, but now the highest resolution option is 1366x768 after i factory reset the laptop. My OS is Windows 10 before and after the reset. I already do update both driver for Intel and Nvidia, and i also uninstall and install the driver but still no option for 1920x1080 resolution.

    Thank you in advance..

You likely need the custom driver for that make and model from Acer. Installing separate drivers for dual graphics doesn't always work out to well. Especially when they are from different manufacturers. That being said, you should have had the correct driver and resolution after doing the factory reset.

    Hi,
If you mess about with Graphic Drivers on such Laptops which use Optimus switching you can get yourself in a bad position.
Gamers absolutely insist on keep on installing 'latest drivers' along with other Graphics driver uninstallers, it's not needed, and can cause problems.

From the factory reset position, just go to Windows updates and eventually you will get some more drivers which work. They will be installed correctly in the right order, maybe not the latest but at least they will work properly.

Some manufacturers will supply customised drivers for particular Laptop models on their support pages.

My laptop is AMD AMD for dual graphics, that = bonus bonus. I can get just the one driver right from AMD and it just works. Or just wait for Windows Update to install it, and again, it just works. No hair pulling etc. Dual garphics is a nice feature, when it works. Some can be a PITA to actually get working correctly though.

It should have worked as intended when you did the factory reset. If you've been updating driver manually/separately from NVidia and Intel you may have to do another factory reset and start over from scratch. What does the NVidia control panel show for monitor type/model? It should show it on that same screen where you set the resolution.
