    Question Regarding Video TDR Failure

Hi guys. Just a quick one.

Last night, from nowhere my system crashed while playing a game. The screen went completely white and I had to do a hard reset. When it came back on I noticed there was a new CU update for Windows but while i started to download the screen started to display artifacts and funny colours. I restarted again and noticed after the BIOS screen it started to do it again and then it showed a Video TDR failure with it pointing towards my AMD driver.

I decided to do a reset of Windows and everything is back to normal now but as a precaution I've decided to drop the memory Clock on my GPU down a few notches but not by much.

I was just wondering what can cause video YDR failure? Is it hardware or can it be external factors like overheating etc as it was extremely humid where I lived yesterday. Many thanks

Ah that's very informative thank you Bree. If I could only get Spotlight to work now after the windows reset I should be good to go!
