AMD develops SW called Adrenalin from which you can adjust many aspects and even overclock. Nvidia also has own SW.

thats probably the info i was after, ADRENALINE caught my eye if it was compatible so yes i do understand nearly all comp components need a driver of some description and MS only supplies the basic needs.

these OEM drivers are obviously the go cause as you said you can tweak to some degree to ones personal likings.

things like overclocking are well out of my league but i'll get my head around it.
