BTW while attempting to update my backup system, I was notified via the AMD Adrenalin software of a new driver release (20.40.2) not 20.5.1, so I wonder if this hadn't been released as an emergency fix?

0.4.2 was only certified under WDDM 2.7 for compliance for 2004 build, nothing has changed in driver or applet. I didn't install 20.5.1 yet and don't know if it's WDDM certified or just an update held back because of windows update.

Got it. BTW I installed 20.4.2 about a week ago on my main rig, and as noted needed to update on my backup rig last night. I did grab 20.5.1, but haven't installed them on either system yet. Will do that later.

It says WHQL and previous one was a Beta.

Ah, ok. All the links still had "beta" in them, and the download page still shows as "optional" instead.

Odd AMD hasn't updated those yet.

You need to edit the first post, 20.5.1 is NOT WHQL certified.

The downloaded driver shows it as WHQL though.

I'm not sure if AMD just haven't updated the release notes yet, or the driver details below are incorrect.
