I wonder if this should should be named 20.5.1 ??
It doesn't list 20.5.1 available at AMD. Do you have a source link?

No because it's just WDDM certified 20.40.2.

I installed 20.4.2 in April. This has a different file size so it is definitely not the same package.

Thanks, old drivers with a signature. Guess I did not need to install it.

It's better to have all WDDM drivers when new W10 build is expected. There were instances when new build comes it refuses to update.

yup no need to update to v20.40.2
also because it's not WDDM 2.7 ready which the recently released May 2020 (20H1/2004) update has wddm 2.7 support but requires wddm 2.7 capable drivers

Did I miss something? If WDM 2.7 is required for the new Windows update, how does the 2020 update get released before the required drivers to support it???

BTW while attempting to update my backup system, I was notified via the AMD Adrenalin software of a new driver release (20.40.2) not 20.5.1, so I wonder if this hadn't been released as an emergency fix?
