17.5.1 up and running well here..:)
My system was much better with Catalyst or Omega than Crimson.
Since I have been forced to upgrade to windows 10 I do not have access to fan speed or correct eyefinity settings.
I eyefinity does work but the option to switch with hot keys back and forth to 3 monitor windows that work as individual windows with max and min to a specific monitor has gone (this reduces productivity).
I have to dual boot to get back to the wonderful world of Catalyst!
All in all AMD has forgotten about loyal AMD Radeon users ;(
That is unfortunately true.
I look upon it as one of the best cards I have owned three fans only one of which blast through the darn small chassis brackets and the other two blow within the case that has plenty of space for in out air so that the noise is bearable even going full blast.
Just wondering is there a way you can prevent Windows Update from downloading Graphics drivers?
This, possibly.
Code:reg add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Device Metadata" /v "PreventDeviceMetadataFromNetwork" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f reg add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DriverSearching" /v "DontSearchWindowsUpdate" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f reg add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DriverSearching" /v "SearchOrderConfig" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate" /v "ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f schtasks /Change /TN "Microsoft\Windows\Device Setup\Metadata Refresh" /Disable
I ended up blocking Driver updates via group policy as it kept wanting to install 17.1.1, and I have to use 17.3.3 right now til 17.5.1 is fixed related to Directx errors, and such, with Virtual Dj, and Battlefield 4 programs at least with programs I used. a lot of Directx Failure posts at AMD forum related to 17.4.x drivers and 17.5.x drivers, works perfectly fine on 17.3.3 though for now
New AMD Radeon Crimson ReLive optional edition 17.5.2 released. See first post for more details. :)
