well, my mobo only has PCi-E 2, so I may be missing out on the driver's capabilities..
also, I have ancient (- though still excellent!) Intel i965 (Extreme) CPU and DDR3 RAM..
    - I imagine that running with the latest Intel 7*** series CPU's and PCi-E 3 with DDR4 RAM would be a different kettle of fish..

    - things move on swiftly in the hardware universe..
As far as I've read, PCIe v2.0 is of some hindrance only for some top, top end GPUs.

    - that's good to know, AMDMan2016..

    - I sure hope the **next rs3 insider build is a bit more stable..
    - at the moment I can't be absolutely certain where the problems lie..

    - running BETA drivers on a "BETA" operating system, does make life complicated..

    ** - fingers crossed..

Major problems with 17.4.3 and 17.4.4 AMD drivers, source AMD forums, Windows 10 Creators Update/R9 390/17.4.x troubles. | Community Reverting back to 17.3.3 has fixed my Directx error with Battiefled 4 and Virtual Dj software, have also reported to AMD my issue myself, will wait and see if I update to next version or not at this point

Right, I had to revert all the way back to 7.1.1, first 16170 wouldn't even install properly with 7.4.3 and 7.4.4 and than problems with clean install of CU. Monitors were not recognized properly, eyefinity couldn't arrange monitors the way I had before and at the end wouldn't run or complete benchmarks with anything but Dx9. Just like in early '70s when they couldn't put their šit together.

Tnx. downloading now but they don't mention any improvement with compatibility. I'll take few precautions before and while installing it.

I'm sticking to version 17.2.1 at the moment the later versions cause my Adobe Lightroom CC to crash when I try to use the develop module!

I had all kinds of problems since that version, not only with programs but with windows too.
Update, 7.5.1 didn't work out either. Actually it did install but programs keep on complaining about it. Passmark Ptest wouldn't run any DirectX tests. Back to 7.1.1 for me.
