I am just wondering if AMD ReLive works on ASUS X550ZE (Radeon R5 + Radeon R5 M230 2GB)?

AMD has just re-released Crimson ReLive Edition 16.12.2. Only AMD Radeon Settings has been updated.

The driver is the same as before, but the date on it has changed anyway.

I believe they fixed tons of bugs and problems (specially all the errors and warnings that Event Viewer had with previous versions)
For those that install the full suite because they need control over the 3D settings (like me), they don't rely on the old way to auto start the Radeon Settings (registry) anymore, instead they now use Task Scheduler, so, if you are one of those that disable the panel from autostarting (it doesn't add anything anyway), you should now look over there just in case msconfig or Task Mannager don't show anything for you.

I also discovered that AMD External Events Utility service needs to be enabled (I used to disable that service in older AMD setups), otherwise, APU's like mine will experience poor performance, or even overheating problems, because Turbo Core Technology is triggered (or not) under certain moments (and tbaprovisioning.exe doesn't work alone by itself, because the AMD service also takes care of the GPU energy settings), even if you use a balanced plan rather than high performance.

The chipset drivers setup is way too buggy also... it doesn't instal a thing, so you have to manualy update all the AMD system drivers, like the SMBus, GPIO, and the likes... Also, is it normal for a 7th gen A12 APU to have a driver for the SMBus that is dated in 2015, while the rest of the system controls are dated 2016? O_O

What's the latest and most stable release for the R9 280X GPU? W10 auto updated the driver and now I don't see the option to check for the latest software version. I'll do a full uninstall/reinstall so all options show properly.

17.1.1 works just fine here, Latest MS distributed driver is 16.2 and I believe last WDDM from AMD is 16.2.2.

I'm not sure about AMD External Events -service, for years I've always turned it off.
Historically it's a service to detect "hot keys".

Another issue: Latest/recent AMD Crimson ReLive (x64) disables tab where to select virtual resolutions etc. :/
