You could try uninstalling the current NVidia driver. That should put it back to Standard VGA Adapter, temporarily. Then let Windows update download and install the correct one.

I did a roll back ... did not make any difference
Then let Windows update to its preferred driver - no difference
Left it for several Hrs on next start up all OK again
Now installed latest driver for video card from nVidia and all still OK ... so looks like it is sorted.
Guess I won't use 'Driver Booster' again.

IMHO programs like that are just snake oil. At the very least your paying them to do something you can do yourself with a little time and effort. Glad you got it working again.
