    Welcome to the TenForums @jhlhbrown.

    Lots of information in post on specs but could you explain what you mean "Disconnects". Is screen going blank, do you lose and regain resolution or does monitor say no signal?

    The Monitor goes black. There is no signal to the monitor. This seems to occur when Windows 10 performs an update (sometimes - not always). To get the signal back I have to cold reboot several times.

    Thanks. I'm sure you are aware AMD has moved this card to their Legacy Support model. (Everything below HD7600)

    Myself, if your machine is working I would tell Windows, thanks, but going forward I'll take care of driver updates. To disable Windows doing driver updates...

    To disable Window driver updates, Control Panel, System and Security, System, on left Advance System Settings, Hardware Tab, Device Installation settings, click No. This may cause a menu to open. Pick I’ll decide

    You can reverse by clicking Yes. This should stop Windows from attempting to change drivers. Once set, try and see if issue returns.

    I have just discovered my Acer Aspire V5(2013 vintage) is in this Legacy section with its HD7500G. There is one final beta update 16.2.1 with the Crimson format(313Mb). Since there will be no more updates/fixes/ its questionable as to the value of the efficiency of the Crimson management panel. The Catalyst software is 15.7.1 from 7/29/2015 ,a 245Mb download. Currently I have 15.201 installed with no issues but I have downloaded the Catalyst 15.7.1 and that will be it for this barely used laptop <grin>
