Windows 10 Update problem with my two monitors

So, every time that Windows 10 has updated on my computer for the past several months, I've wound up with only one of my two monitors working afterwards. After doing some digging, and several hours worth of it, I finally found a way to fix the one monitor problem. However, that still takes me an infuriating half an hour because Microsoft can't seem to code something right so it doesn't break my gpu drivers. Does anybody know a way to avoid this problem overall, or a way for me to disable updates on my Windows 10 OS?

Can you give any more details? My entire company uses dual monitors for the in-office folks, so we're talking roughly 100 people. Most have some kind of Dell laptop, and a few have Macs running Windows. About half at this point are running Windows 10 and we haven't had any issue with updates breaking the dual monitor setup.

Must be a problem with GPU drivers, make sure they are WDDM. I have triple/quad monitor setup and there's only temporary confusion during updating but settles down when installation is complete.

Triple monitors here, all on the one card. Usually just a bit of flicker when video drivers are updated. One a clean install I'm stuck on just the one monitor with the Standard VGA driver. Then once Windows update installs the NVidia driver all three light up.

Are you running them both off of the one video card? Onboard or dedicated card? Make and model of that card if you don't mind?

Currently I'm running a custom built computer that I've had for about four years. It's intel with an ASUS GTX 760 gpu that I'm running both monitors on. Normally when my computer decides to update Windows 10 and I have this problem the solution is relatively simple yet time consuming. I have to go to device manager, right click on my display adapter, then click uninstall. After that I have to restart my computer, and then install the drivers manually (without the GEForce Experience program). After one more restart, everything is finally kosher. This time around, though, it isn't.
