No HP logo splash screen after installing GTX 1060
Hi all,
Bit of a strange issue. I recently replaced my graphics card. I used to have a GTX 770 and replaced it with a Gigabyte GTX 1060 6Gb Windforce OC. All graphics drivers were uninstalled and then updated to the latest versions, and it works as per normal. But I have noticed something unexpected. From a cold boot, the monitor says "no signal" and goes into standby until the windows log-on screen appears. From then on all is ok. But before the card was replaced, the monitor used to stay active and display the Hewlett Packard (HP) blue splash logo, with the white dots going round in a circle, before going on to the windows screen. If the PC is merely restarted, then the logo does appear prior to the log-on screen. No changes have been made in BIOS. I can still access BIOS normally from a cold or warm boot. Anybody know why this is the case with the splash screen not appearing?
The monitor is an AOC i2369Vm. The PC is a HP Envy Phoenix 810-470na. Details: i7 4790, 128Gb SSD for the operating system, 16GB RAM, 2Tb hard drive. It came with Windows 8.1, but I upgraded to Windows 10 in May of this year, which went smooth as silk with no issues. Also, it came with the GeForce GTX 770 actually pre-installed, with drivers updated regularly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
