nVidia GPU Can't get started after Windows 10 (1607) Update (Code 43)

    Hi

Before the Windows 10 Update (1607)[Anniversary Update], My GPU (nvidia 950) worked without problem But after that, A yellow triangle appears beside 950 gpu at device manager & the display resolution can be selected only at 1024x768 and it shows the following error:

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

I did the following solutions but none of them helped:
    ------------
    - uninstalling & reinstalling nvidia graphic driver. (using diplay driver uninstaller in safe mode)
    - roling back driver (It goes back to microsoft default driver but can't detect 950 gpu)
    - update driver software at device manager
    - removing gpu and replacing it after some minutes
    - removing motherboard battery and replacing it after some minutes
    - removing all rams and replacing them after some minutes

    gpu: nvidia 950
    os: windows 10 pro x64 build 1607
    nvidia driver: 376.33
    mobo bios: latest version

    please suggest any solution!

To rule out a hardware issue with the 950, try booting into an Ubuntu live image and see if it detects your GPU.

Once you are at the Ubuntu desktop, we can check if it has detected your GPU in a number of ways..

    1. Software & Updates -> Additional Drivers tab, look for it listing your GTX 950.
    2. Open a terminal and type "sudo lspci | grep -i nvidia", note the output
    3. Open a terminal and type "sudo dmesg | grep -i nvidia", note the output

OK, an update to the situation (after so many efforts):--------I randomly tried older driver versions for my GPU and Suddenly found out that after installing geforce driver 355.69, my GPU works again without problem. So it seems the newer version of nvidia drivers has a problem with the windows 10 anniversary update (1607).-----------So do u have any idea how to solve this?

Nvidia's latest driver is 376.33, you may wish to see if that resolves the issues you were having with 376.09.

If 376.33 still has the same issues, I would suggest trying driver versions between 376.09 and 355.69 - you can see them listed here. That way we can find out which version of the driver is the last one to work properly for you.

Thank you for going through the trouble of booting up Ubuntu and running those commands, that confirms that the card is at least recognized by another OS so it is unlikely that there are hardware issues with the card itself.

You have solved it, used an older driver. Often some Nvidia drivers are not good on a particular set of Hardware and Windows version.
What you can do if you insist on the latest (a gamer thing) is to work your way back, one by one. At the current time it seems to be 376.33 as the latest driver.
Currently I use 372.70 it works well on mine, so no worries.

OK, I grabbed all the geforce drivers newer than 355.69 and older than 376.33 from nvidia's website and installed them randomly from newer to older.

And after some installs & uninstalls, I found out that:

The last geforce driver that works without problem with my GPU (GTX 950) is = 368.81

So It seems that a feature added to driver 372.54 and later, has some incompatibilty with Windows 10's anniversary update (build 1607).

This is the release note for 372.54:

    http://us.download.nvidia.com/Window...ease-notes.pdf

    with these highlight new features:

    -Support for updated BatteryBoost technology.
-Enabled mclk switches on 144 Hz G-SYNC monitors in multi-monitor use cases in order to lower power consumption.
-Support OpenGL VR SDK 1.4 (Windows).
-Added a Windows cross-API interop between Vulkan and DirectX 11. This enables Vulkan app compatibility with existing DirectX 11-based HMD runtimes.
-Added driver support for DXGI 2 VR.

Hope, This could help solve this problem sooner.
