Yes my real reason for "Zen" is that should pull the price down of the FX-6350 & FX-8350 for me to buy
If I was you I would save money for dual GPUs for later on when all the dust about Zen settles. Pricing for it is still not known and is questionable how much (if any) prices for older models my drop.
    Patience is still a virtue.

Well I plan to buy "A" gpu in Jan so might buy from Amazon so if it does not work properly it can be returned "no quibbles" gurantee.

Good plan, I believe you'll be satisfied enough with one of them.

Than it's better to get one much stronger GPU, like Rx 480/8GB or GTX 1080. SLI/CF doesn't work in all games, actually in small percentage of games. Another problem is that FX 4170 of yours, bet it's a bottleneck even for one R9 290 let alone two.
    yup, agreed..
    - where it's available, two RX480's in crossfire is a MONSTER..!!

My original question has nothing to do with any other card than what is the best R9390 to buy the one I found is good but I wanted to know if there is any better R9's, since i'm running a 2.0 board I will need 512-Bit not 256-Bit from the RX 480's.

That bits count is for VRAM memory to GPU, has nothing to do with PCIe. Nether 290/390 nor Rx cards can benefit from PCIe 3 version, you don't loose anything by using PCIe 2.0.

Your information is not factual according to the internet everywhere I look, I already had an awfull XFX R9 280 256-Bit card & all it did was stutter & crash all the time, every hour, I know my amd mobo needs & it is not what you are saying when it comes to my amd setup.
you don't seem to link me to any proof of your comments instead are just repeating yourself on here.
I'll just go get an nvidea card as they seem to work better at the lower bit rates.

I had tons of GPUs and systems, if you don't believe me, too tough, take it or leave it.
As to make of that actual card, just look for some that is not reference model so you get more flexible BIOS and better cooling. Asus, Gigabyte, MSI and EVGA. Stay away from XFX and such makes. There's no actual "best", all are made by AMD now, just few physical characteristics may be changed. Look for good price within such models. No need to pay for superlatives like Super duper this and that.
