What is best way to install new Graphics card (driver and card)?
I'm replacing my NVidia GTX750Ti card (it has a problem) with an NVidia GTX1050Ti. This is a Win10 x64 system.
I downloaded the latest drivers for the card. It used to be said that one should uninstall the old driver first then install card, boot up, and install new drivers. I don't know if this sequence is still needed.
If I don't uninstall the old drivers first - When I install the new graphics card and do the first boot up, it would be loading the old (incorrect) drivers. Is this a concern?
My computer also has on-board graphics (HD4000, I think) so I could boot to that first if I change the BIOS settings to use on-board first. But hen I don't think I can install NVidia drivers since the new card won't be active.
Not sure how to proceed. Thanks for you help.
