You should start by posting a screen shot of your device manager, but I would be willing to wager you need your GPU drivers. It looks like it has an intel iGPU but there are drivers for both intel and nvidia GPUs, so we would need to determine what your model is equipped with. Run a tool like Speccy and look under the graphics tab to see what adapters you have in your system.

To identify the unknown device, go into device manager > right click the unknown device > click on Properties. The Properties window will pop up > click on the Details tab > under Property, click the down arrow and choose Hardware IDs. Now under Value, right click the first line and choose Copy.

Go to Google, right click in Google's search bar and choose Paste. The search results should identify the unknown device.

That device appears to be the HP 3D driveguard, it's a driver for the accelerometer which locks the HDD spindle when it detects the laptop falling. What driver do you have for chipset/graphics?

I googled the Device ID you posted. It looks like it's your hard drive protection software. It's called "HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection". I then Googled the specs of you laptop. It looks like it original came with Windows 7, I'm guessing 64-bit. I then went to HP's website and found the drivers for your computer. First I went HP website > Support > Software & Drivers > entered dv6-2155dx in the search bar > then chose Windows and Windows 7 (64-bit). That takes you to all the drivers for your laptop. The one you are looking for is in Software-Multimedia.

Now remember, if your Windows is 32-bit, you need to choose that. Another thing, this driver is for Windows 7 and may not work with Windows 10.

When I upgraded from Windows 7 to 10, the upgrade assistant made me uninstall the hard drive protector. I never did try to reinstall it after the upgrade.
