    HDMI port not working

    Please can someone help me.
I have an acer predator laptop which has windows 10 installed. My HDMI port used to connect an additional monitor stopped working and I can't figure out why. The Intel HD graphics as well as the NVIDIA graphics are all up to date but it is still not working. The HDMI port is functional as it works when booting into a Linux OS.
Can someone please advise as to what could possibly be the problem

    Kindest regards

Does it show two monitors in Settings > System > Display?
What happens if you press the Windows Logo key + P and select Extend?

Have a look in Device Manager under Display adapters and Monitors for anything with a yellow ! or Red X. Try a different HDMI cable too, if you haven't already.

Open up the NVidia Control panel and have a look in Display > Set up multiple displays.

It is not picked up there either. I have tried that before as well.
I think windows brought out an update which is now not compatible with the HDMI

If its enabled, you could try system restore and go back to when you think it was working?

We did that as well and the system restore said it failed, but when the computer restarts it says the system restore was successful, still no HDMI.

    It's super frustrating.

I'd go the support site for your make and model and hunt up a Windows 10 display driver and reinstall it.
