Screen resolution changes when monitor switched off

Due to upgrading my M2 sytem boot drive I've had to reinstall Windows 10 and I've come across a plethora of problems that I had when first installed it last year. This one I know there is a Reg fix for it but trying to find it has proved fruitless.

I have a 4k monitor and when I switch it off and back on again what ever was in the lower right has moved to what it looks like it would be on a 1080 or the top left quarter of the monitor. Can anyone point me in the right direction of what to do. Video drivers are up to date.

This has been an ongoing problem for years and is due to monitor auto detection.
The best way to fix it is a small /cheap device that works with display port or HDMI.They are also sold on EBay.

Have you tried running the OS with out the M.2 SSD? Are you using the Samsung Magician software? Are you running all the latest mobo drivers?

Problem was to do with the DPI scaling of my 2nd monitor, it was set to 300% for some reason although I had not changed it. I only changed the 1st Monitor to 150% the 2nd is only used for watching films and playing games.
