    Monitor resolution "split" in middle

    Hello,
I am running into an issue, where sometimes my monitor seems to "split" the resolution, so there is this middle line running down the very middle of it, which appears to be empty, and it causes the screen to look split. It's sort of hard to describe, so please see the picture here: http://imgur.com/a/86Zx7 This seems to happen after the computer wakes up from sleep mode. Note that taking a screenshot doesn't show the issue, and I had to take that with my phone.
I am running windows 10 64 bit. I recently got a new graphics card, a radeon fury, which is updated to the latest drivers 16.7.3. This didn't happen before getting the new card, so I'm inclined to think it's related to that.
I have two monitors set up, one is a 144hz 1440p resolution (MG279q, displayport to mini displayport), and the other is 1080p 60 hz (hdmi). Previously, before I got the new graphics card I never ran into this issue.
The issue will go away if I switch the displayport stream between 1.2 to 1.1 and then back to 1.2, or if I restart the computer.
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Possible video setting is in demo mode ( although most report a verticle red line).

That doesn't seem to be the issue. I went to catalyst control center and even with demo off, the screen still splits after waking up from the monitor power save mode.

Bumping if you don't mind, I would appreciate any further help. I've been searching around for similar issues but am having difficulty finding anything like this. Thanks.

If you add your system specs, someone may have an answer.
Also, does it occur with only one monitor (either/or) connected, are you using passive adaptors ?.
I'm not on multi monitor setup, so can't help further.

It occurs with only one monitor (the primary one) which is the `1440p one. My specs are in my original post but I'll outline them here so it's easier:
    Operating System
    Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
    CPU
    Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40GHz
    RAM
    16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz
    Motherboard
    P8Z77-V LX
    Graphics
    DELL ST2421L (1920x1080@60Hz)
    ASUS MG279 (2560x1440@144Hz)
4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 Fury Series
