    Looking for a graphics card

Hi, I'm working with an HP Elite 8000 SFF, E8400 running on Win 10 pro 64bit.
I'm looking for a half-height video card, preferably a silent one that actually runs on win 10.

Can someone give me some advice? I'm not a gamer, so I don't need a gaming card and I'd like to stay within the constraints of a 240 W power supply.
    Thanks,
    Ed

This isn't intended as an endorsement of Newegg, but I like their search engine:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ch=1&OEMMark=N

These are fanless low-profile cards that support DirectX 11 or above. (I think that means that they all have full Windows 10 drivers, but check the specific card type before you buy.)

If you can afford it, and can live with the chunky heatsink, maybe:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...9SIA5753NC5897

I suggest that mainly because Win 10 driver support for all of the low-profile AMD cards in the first link seems to have been relegated to "legacy" status (no more updates).

Thanks for the quick response. Your second links yields an empty page.
None of the cards in the first link say anything about a win 10 driver, how can I check that out?

The second link works for me. It's to a Inno3D Geforce GT 720.

One search criterion I used was Direct X 11 through 12 support, which pretty much assures that Win 10 drivers will exist.

If you look at a card with a specific GPU chipset, you can check for drivers at amd.com or nvidia.com. All of the AMD cards are in "legacy" status, which means that they have Win 10 drivers but they will not be updated in the future.

Sorry, don't mean to be a nuisance.
Now that second link works here too.
So, if I understand you correctly, r.g. this card XFX HD 6000 Radeon HD 6450 DirectX 11 HD-645X-ZQH2 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card

should have a win driver, right?

Yes. "Legacy" status, which should be OK for a long time.

Let us know how it works out.

I'm confident that it will work, but verification would be nice.

Got that card 2 days ago, installed it and it seems to work fine, knock on wood.
    Thanks for all the help.

I have an HD5770 laying around, it's still a competent card and sips power, I think you can still find those for a few pennies. You're not going to find many options with that 240W PSU.
