    @Cliff S

    Thank you for your detailed explanation!

    I am now using "Full Dynamic Range 0-255" in all these settings. So, both in "Adjust video color settings" and in "Change Resolution", in the NVIDIA Control Panel, for all my screens. The truth is that my desktop background images, from MS Themes, were and still are displaying very beautifully, I never had issues with them and I do not have now, either. The change I have observed is when watching films on my TV. The blacks are deeper now!

    So, thanks a lot! :)

    I've just reverted back to version 381.65. With 381.78 the NVIDIA CP kept not working. It vanished from the context menu but was still there in Control Panel but when clicked on nothing happened.

    TBH I couldn't be bothered trying to find ot what was going on as 381.65 worked fine before I uninstalled it so just went back to it.

    You're welcome, Joanne.
    I'm glad I could help.
    I'm one of those persons who enjoy and want "Real" colors, not over blown artificial processed from enhancements, or faded & washed out.
    If I'm watch the news or a local live cam, I want to be able to look at my screen(monitor or TV) and look out side and have the grass, trees and flowers, look the same, or as close as my equipment can get.

    All fine since I went back to version 381.65. I'll stick with these until the new release which is probably due out around Thursday next week.

    381.89 seemed to have fixed my black screen boot problem. :)

    Seems I spoke to soon. My system still boots to a black screen occasionally.
