Gheeez… Look at all these bugs that's been accumulating...

    Top Issues and Updates:
    • [G-SYNC]: NVIDIA G-SYNC might not be enabled automatically for monitors newly approved as G-SYNC-Compatible upon updating the driver. [200544252]
-To work around, enable the monitor by opening the NVIDIA Control Panel->Display->Set Up G-SYNC page, then select the display and select Enable settings for the selected display.
    • [SpaceEngine]: The game crashes when launched. [2684322]
    • [UBOAT]: The game crashes due to memory allocation issues when launching Sandbox mode from the main menu. [2694301]
    • [Tom Clancy's The Division II]: The game may crash when played in DirectX 12 mode. [200406322]
    • [FIFA 19]: The game may crash to the desktop. [2690624]
    • [Shadow of the Tomb Raider]Random crash to desktop in DX12 mode[200549489]
    • [Gears 5]Random crash to desktop when loading match or quitting to game menu[2630220]
    • [Star Wars: Battlefront II]Random crash to desktop [200550245 ]
    • [Grand Theft Auto V]: Game may crash randomly after driver update[2703155]
    • [Apex Legends]Random flicker on screen[2709770]

It's ridicilous... So many crashing problems, and many games are popular aswell. Nvidia needs to get their act together...

To make a wayward anology, it is like when taking a medication for one single symptom or disease, but with 50 + side-effects, it behooves one to wonder which is better: have a go at it or completely steer clear of that medication.

Depends on the severity I guess. But I'm surprised they haven't released a hotfix for this mess. There are a few games being released today, and more next week, so maybe we'll see a proper GRDriver soon. And maybe it will actually fix things... maybe.

The problem is, as I see it, a discrepancy between the pace at which MS is going and that which is possible for IT professionals & developers. The latter lag always behing and are having difficulty keeping up, whence the trend right now with MS: Fix one thing and break something else. My point is they always have to adjust according to MS's new changes. That also goes for NVIDIA.

Let's hope, as you put it, a fix for GRDriver with the next NVIDIA's update, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I just installed 18363.385 and MS installed VD 431.85 so I replaced it with 436.30. Their Nvidia CP would not open.

I'd try uninstalling using DDU and do a clean install of 436.30.

The only thing I can think of that could have happened is that the Windows Update downloaded a DCH driver which comes without the CP. If it was then some remnants could have been left behind and are causing your problem. DDU should sort that out.
