I always extract the files from the downloaded .exe so I can do a minimal install without all the excess baggage. The extracted size is 1.26 GB

Installed and immediately my fan went from HIGH to LOW spinning. Must be the old driver that caused it... It's now buzzing along nicely and less noisy... Me likes! :)
FYI.....
I have not run into this issue, yet, but be aware there is a teeny bug with Firefox and the 418.81. Does not sound fatal, just irritating.

I don't use FF, but I have never seen this corruption in Steam. I am not even sure what it does or how it looks.
