This driver also gives no signal to my monitor when going from sleep, and it's not the cable (VESA certified) or hardware. I think the EDI data or INF is broken in the 416 drivers. Seems to mostly affect DPs. Wtf Nvidia... Whatever they changed from 411 to 416 ain't working for me. Time to send more repros and sys infos I guess...
416.34 is the newest driver released yesterday...
    runs fine for me

And your point is? I wrote that 416 doesn't work for me. I never wrote it doesn't work for you. 416.16 and 416.34 both gives me black screen when going from sleep. I can reproduce it on DPs quite easily. I'm not the only one either so it's not a single case-issue. Although it's not widespread, thankfully.

3D and Physics are separate install-able packages, I believe. Look in Progs and Features. Uninstall it.
Just an update...been playing Rift for several hrs with these uninstalled and the latest drivers installed and knock-on-wood I have not seen a black screen flicker so far. Not gonna do the happy dance just yet though :)
I will do same tomorrow afternoon on my Son's computer to see if that will work for him. Maybe I will get lucky twice lol.

    Thanks for the replies

Just an update on my Nvidia card and my Son's also.
With the v416.34 drivers and 3D and Physix not installed my system is still working without glitches. Also we just done the same to my Son's Asus GeForce 1080 system and the lag and glitches have stopped. Almost too early to do the happy dance for his computer just yet but it's a good sign. I will update if anything happens.

    Thanks for all the replies
    cheers

I have never installed the 3D on mine but have always installed Physix, but have never noticed any issues before. What does Physix actually do? I might uninstall it if not really beneficial.

I am not sure but I think it may have to do with your monitor. haven't googled it yet. Someone suggested to uninstall it and 3D because my monitor didn't support it.

Hi Stealth. It's needed to run GPU accelerated physics in games that supports it. Here's a list of the games using PhysX: List of games with hardware-accelerated PhysX support - Wikipedia

Note that games that run it on CPU does not need it, hence it working on AMD and consoles aswell. GPU PhysX is exclusive to Nvidia.

Thanks for the info. I only see one game on that list that I am currently playing so since I have no issues with Physix installed, I might as well leave it installed.
