For those GFE users a thread regarding the new driver: https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...experience-/1/

Doesn't appear to affect those that don't install GFE, but I may wait a little while before installing these.
This has been happening with GFE on the last TWO updates at least. Doing a clean install with DDU, then a custom install with Nvidia and not selecting GFE removes this issue completely. Incase anyone is interested.

Just went thru all that garbage. Glad I made an image just before, cause I was right back to it! Re-installed, Custom, GFE No-no-No....

The base clock staying stuck at maximum sometimes is now fixed for my Geforce 1050 using the 385.28 driver.

Talking about driver packages sizes, I always slim down a new Nvidia driver package before installing it. The screenshot here below compares the full extracted driver package size with the slimmed down package size. I have never had any issues by doing this.

Here is a screenshot with the folders I empty first before I run the setup.

Windows Update does install NVidia drivers. I personally wish it wouldn't. I prefer to get them from the website.
