382.33 installed fine first shot with my FTW 1080. Went the DDU route this time. Installed everything except the 3D Vision stuff.
that is what I did, this driver is still not listed where all the new drive show.

Usually I go to Nvidia and download the package and then install it. The package is still not available there but suddenly Geforce Experience wanted to do an update. I let it update and then it told me the new driver video driver. It downloaded it and I then choose custom install. That install failed twice. Then I choose express install, that worked. Of course I got the 3D stuff which I don't need or want.

The older you get the less you like change especially if it is not an improvement.

Weird. After installing today's cumulative update for 1703, Windows Update installed Nvidia driver version 382.36, dated May 19th.

Didn't see that here Brian, the only time I've ever got NVIDIA updates from Microsoft is if I uninstall a graphics driver using DDU and forget to unplug from my router before rebooting.

    How is it running ?

Seems to be fine. This is the first time WU has served me a GPU driver in forever. It's a slight annoyance because it cleared all my customized gaming profiles but, other than that, it's smooth so far. GPU-Z has it labelled as a beta driver.

I'll echo DooGie as my scenario is the same as his. I just installed the Windows update and still have 382.33.

Very weird. Maybe Windows is trying to figure out your 1080TI SLI setup and installed some unreleased "Quadro" driver. Guess you don't have GFE installed. Wonder what it would do - tell you "we have an older driver that has to be installed"???

A quadro driver wouldn't have installed without a modified .inf. It's probably an offshoot of 382.33 put out to Microsoft only.

I'll post over on the GeForce forums and see if I can find out any info about it.

I agree, DooGie. I was kidding, using quadro in reference to his 1080TI SLI setup. I think it's nothing but a non public beta Microsoft has. But assuming Blackrose isn't on an insider build, that shouldn't be happening.

PS: Blackrose, I did search the 382.36 - came up with nothing.
